The following is taken from dispatch logs created and compiled by the Amador County Sheriff’s Office on the dates and times indicated. This information is part of the public record and is presented here in the interests of public safety.
11:04 a.m. Suspicious Person at a corporate drug store on Highway 49 in Sutter Creek. In the women’s bathroom, someone has spent an extended period unwrapping items, possibly to steal.
5:29 p.m. Disturbing the Peace on Tabeau Road in Pine Grove. After throwing things around her residence, a naked lady is waiting for a cab outside the rancheria. Possibly a thyroid issue, but more probably a mental one.
10:23 p.m. Welfare Check at a mobile home estate in Pioneer. During a 911 hang-up call, someone telephoned in to say that it was, “A Miss Dial, trying to call 411.”
7:04 a.m. Animal Call in Volcano. Two skunks entered a chicken coop to duke it out, and now the caller wants law enforcement to break up the fight by dispatching them both.
9:18 a.m. Suspicious Person at an industrial complex in Martell. Two employees went to do some clean up in a vacant back lot where they encountered some homeless men wielding knives.
6:49 p.m. Suspicious Person in Amador City. A dark-haired 40 year old hispanic male wearing a tactical vest, carrying two plastic bags, said that he was gold panning and the caller should not worry about it.
7:45 p.m. Missing Person Report in Pioneer. The caller’s wife allegedly left for the gym at 7:00 p.m. but, because she has a gambling issue, he says she is probably at the casino.
8:12 p.m. Animal Call at Amador Creek and Turner Road. There is a rattlesnake about 10 feet from the road under a rock near the caller’s belongings. He is fearful for the public.
8:16 a.m. Burglary on New York Ranch Road in Jackson. Someone was in the house of the caller’s mother last night. The front door was unlocked. There was a glass of water on the table. Her purse had been rifled through and money taken out of the wallet. Items stolen include $300 and Medi-Cal cards.
11:34 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances in Amador County. The caller states that her 17-year-old daughter is missing. She may be in Arizona with a 36 year-old male.
2:09 p.m. Passing Bad Checks at an auto shop in Sutter Creek. Someone signed off on a phony $300 check.
6:22 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Flint Trail in Jackson Valley. Numerous items of value are missing from the caller’s residence including movies, coffee mugs and the door mat.
6:26 a.m. Welfare Check near Highway 49 and Sutter Ione Road. On the side of the road, the caller caught sight of a colorful but unmoving blanket, which may be covering a person who is asleep or something worse.
12:12 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Raven Road in Pioneer. The caller reports hearing something “deep under the Earth.” It is a booming, pounding sound, causing her house to rumble. Caller advises that this is no firearm. It just can’t be.
12:17 p.m. Disturbing the Peace on Williams Road in Pioneer. A boyfriend, who broke up with with his girlfriend yesterday, is taking things from her residence. He had only been half-living there.
4:58 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Ponderosa Way in Pine Grove. The caller states that the same black mid-90s Mercedes Benz has been seen parked on the church property. The driver will park his car, recline back his seat and occasionally pop his head up, look around and lay back down.
1:22 p.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle on Mella Drive on Highway 49. There is a live report of a white female under the influence of a mind-altering substance wearing a slingshot shirt, worn-out jeans, one leg pulled up and the other pulled down. Next to her is another female laying out clothes on the street.
6:25 p.m. Animal Call on Plug Street in Volcano. A sick skunk got hosed by the caller, after which the ill animal was barely able to walk. It is currently lying on the ground near the house.
9:55 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances in Jackson Valley. The caller and his wife just got married and now the bride’s behavior is bizarre. He won’t give much detail, and he sounds very drunk. His wife is wearing a brown, striped dress and there are two children in the residence.
10:09 p.m. Civil Problem on Lookout Ridge Lane in Pine Grove. With no eviction notice given to the renter, the landlord turned off all the utilities and then left for Mexico.10:48 p.m. Disturbing the Peace at a motel on Highway 49 in Pine Grove. A weaponless white male with a shaved head, wearing camouflage pants, and a female redhead with a ponytail, clad in yoga pants and a tank top, keep locking each other out of the room and shouting.
