The following is taken from dispatch logs created and compiled by the Amador County Sheriff’s Office on the dates and times indicated. This information is part of the public record and is presented here in the interests of public safety.

August 13

7:52 p.m. Suspicious Person near West Marlette in Ione. A dirty-looking curly-haired white male subject, unknown to the people in this neighborhood, was spotted near Violet Lane.
8:59 p.m. Annoying Phone Calls in Jackson Valleys. Someone has been texting the caller, saying that he is going to burn her house down.
August 14
1:18 p.m. Theft of Property at a pizza purveyor in Sutter Creek. A male subject in blue shorts stole two beers and a pizza, then, as if to add insult to injury, started to get verbally abusive when he was challenged about his petty pilfering of pilsners and pie.
4:10 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances at big box boutique on Wicklow Way in Martell. There are customers in the store who tried to short change the cashier, and then got made because the cashier wasn’t going to let that happen. The subjects are two Italian males both wearing white shirts, one wearing a white fedora.
5:48 p.m. Public Intoxication on Camanche Road in Jackson Valley. A heavily intoxicated hispanic male made lewd comments to some local women.
August 16
3:21 p.m. Disturbing the Peace at a pizza parlor in Martell. A gray-jacketed, backpack-bearing, baseball cap-wearing, blue jean-clad lad got verbal with the pie twirlers after ordering $41.09 in food and then refusing to pay.
3:28 p.m. Disturbing the Peace on Electra Road in Jackson. The caller states that there are three men in a blue Taurus looking for him. So far, they have not discovered him hiding in the bushes.
August 17
9:08 a.m. Be on the Lookout near Pine Grove Elementary School. There is bald white driver in sunglasses, possibly smoking dope, all over the roadway, crossing yellow lines and nearly coming head on with every vehicle he passes.
12:08 p.m. Welfare Check at a large hardware and home supply store in Martell. Parked on the left side of the store near the first or second parking stall, there is an angry male subject breaking items he bought as he was putting them into his vehicle.
12:50 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances at an acorn grinding rock somewhere near Pine Grove. When the caller went to campground shower, someone stole her mixed breed dachshund-chihuahua out of a crate. The dog wore a pink collar with the words “pretty kitty” on it. Only two other campers are in the area.
8:34 p.m. Disturbing the Peace on Mariposa Avenue in Jackson. A neighbor came bursting out of her house, yelling and screaming.
August 18
2:08 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances at a post office in Amador County. Last night, though her mailbox was locked, someone opened the contents of package belonging to the caller. Inside the box were three tubes of diaper ointment, but they are no more.
6:24 p.m. Citizen Assist on Pitts Drive in Pine Grove. The caller states that her friend had a subject in a white truck stop by her residence two weeks ago saying she needed to move vehicles on her property and that, if she didn’t, she could be fined for it. The caller is curious to know whether or not this is a scam.
August 19
2:24 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Old Sacramento Road in Plymouth. The caller just found out from the California Franchise Tax Board that his identity had been stolen in 2012. The IRS confirmed this today.
4:41 p.m. Violation of Court Order in Volcano. A subject is now facing speakers so as to blast loud music towards the caller’s property.
5:11 p.m. Suspicious Person in Keystone Alley in Amador City. A skinny long-haired white male in his 50s with no shirt, wearing blue jeans, is sitting on a blue ice chest crying.
7:12 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Circle View Drive in Pioneer. The caller’s five-year-old grandson was playing outside and an unknown subject threw a boomerang and hit the grandson in the mouth, splitting his lip. Apparently the boomerang flew back into the forest after striking the boy in the face.
August 20
10:37 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances followed by an Assault on Highway 88 near Red Corral Road. A black motorcycle driven by a male in his mid-30s wearing a red helmet, passed the caller on the double yellow line, knocking the mirror off his 1996 Subaru Impreza wagon in the process. After the parties exchanged insurance info, the motorcyclist punched the caller in the jaw.
6:23 p.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle on Nugget Lane in Sutter Creek. The caller got home and there was a blue sedan with writing on the door in the driveway. The caller’s elderly mother was talking to a clean-cut white male in his early 20s who said he was a Bulgarian student selling material for young children. Then he asked for a bottle of water. The caller is concerned that the subject would have entered the house had she not returned.
9:15 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances at a campground near an Indian grinding rock on Pine Grove Volcano Road. A white male and a white female, both in their 30s, are in a tent which is lighting up and doing different colors. There is no smell of marijuana or meth, but the subject is concerned because she’s got her kids in the area.
